ユニタール持続可能な繁栄局長局長代理
マイケル・アデラは貿易・財務領域に関連するユニタールの研修の企画、策定及び実施やパートナー開発のサポートを行っている。ユニタール初となるＥラーニングプラットフォームの運営を手助けするために２００３年にユニタールに参画。それ以前は、ジュネーブで国際連合環境計画（UNEP）や国連砂漠化対処条約(UNCCD)における技術サポートを行っていた。
また、過去フィリピン、サウジ・アラビア・スイスにおいて、技術関連の研修や遠隔コミュニケーションに関わる民間企業でパートナーシップ開発やサービス統合調整業務などを担当。電子工学やコミュニケーション開発領域のスペシャリストである。
He manages the design, development, and implementation of training activities and supports partnership development related to trade and finance programme of UNITAR. Before joining UNITAR in 2003 to help operationalize its first eLearning platform, he was providing technical support in Geneva for the UN Environment and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification. He is trained as an electronics and communications engineer and earlier worked in the private sector developing partnerships and coordinating service integration and technical training for technology and telecommunications companies in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland.

「ジュネーブ・スタディー・ツアー Via オンライン」では、ユニタールのジュネーブ在住スタッフがジュネーブの文化や現状、ユニタール本部についてや自身の経験について話し、参加者の質問に答えていく予定です。

Global partnership has faced a challenging time due to COVID-19. Many National Governments are restricting people’s movements to prevent a pandemic from happening in their country. UNITAR will respond to this crisis of disruption and use modern technology plus UNITAR’s existing network to help strengthen a global solidarity. In the upcoming public session "Geneva Study Tour via Online", UNITAR’s staff based in Geneva will talk about the culture there, current situation, UNITAR HQ and their experience there. They will also answer questions from the audience. UNITAR hopes this will provide an opportunity to get a feeling for the atmosphere of the remarkable cosmopolitan city and to consider building your career based on stories from this session.
